Conflict Resolution

We strive to guide the development of programs that are so meaningful that people will still be speaking of these positive memories long after they have graduated from ISD 177 schools. We will achieve this by developing TRANSFORMATIONAL coaches who deeply care about each student-athlete as a person, and will structure their programs to reflect that care. Every student/athlete and parent expects great coaching. The goal of the Windom Eagle Activities Department is to work collaboratively with Coaches to become Transformational Leaders.

Unfortunately, there are times during competitive activities when student/athletes and parents won't agree with Coaching decisions.

Appropriate concerns to discuss with a Coach/Advisors:
*The mental and physical treatment of the student.
*What the student needs to do to improve.
*Concerns about the student's behavior.

Issues NOT appropriate for a parent's discussion with a Coach/Advisor:
* Playing time.
*Conversations concerning students other than the parent's own child.
*Strategy of the Coach

When this becomes the case please follow the Conflict/Resolution Steps:
1. Student/Coach Discussion
2. Student/Parent/Coach Discussion
