Superintendent's Desk
Dear Families,
As we begin a new academic year, I would like to extend a warm welcome to each of you. I hope your summer was both restful and rejuvenating, and that you are as eager as we are to embark on another year of growth and achievement.
Guided by our shared vision—Learning, Leading, Excelling, Together—we remain committed to providing high-quality educational experiences for all students, from early childhood through high school.
Several new initiatives are underway this year. In our elementary school, all educators have completed professional development in the Science of Reading and will implement a new, research-based literacy curriculum: Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA). This program is designed to build strong foundational skills and foster a lifelong love of reading.
Our Preschool and Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) programs are also beginning the year with a new curriculum, Frog Street, which promotes school readiness through purposeful play, early literacy, and social-emotional development.
At the middle and high school levels, our focus this year is on building a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) to ensure that all learners—regardless of their individual needs—receive the necessary academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support for success. To support this goal, a new high school intervention teaching position has been created through grant funding to provide targeted instructional support for students requiring additional assistance.
We are enthusiastic about the opportunities this school year holds and remain grateful for your continued partnership. Together, we look forward to a year of meaningful learning, growth, and achievement.
Sincerely,
Jamie Frank
