Due to our recent orientation events, we will not be publishing an Eagle Eye update for September 2024. Instead, the picture of the upcoming calendar below lists important events. Of note, school starts for students in grades 5-12 at 8:10 AM Tuesday, September 3rd.

Windom Area MS & HS has updated our electronic device policy. This information is included in the student handbook that was board approved in late July. Middle school rules surrounding electronic devices remains unchanged. HS rules have changed and personal electronic devices are not permitted in class. Students in grades 9-12 may use electronic devices during passing time at lockers and during lunch, but phones must remain in lockers for the remainder of the day and are not allowed in classrooms during class.
Windom Eagle Middle School Students and Parents, are invited to attend Middle School Orientation. 7th & 8th grade, August 27, 5th & 6th grade August 28, 6 PM each evening.

New Student Orientation is this week, here is information on this great opportunity!
Our school's website now features a new Health Office Page. Here, you can access information about what to do if your student is ill, details about immunizations and medications, and all necessary forms. Health information, action plans, and medication forms should be submitted BEFORE the start of the school year. Back-to-school nights/conferences offer a great opportunity to submit completed forms.
Please note: if you want your student (grades 6-12) to be able to self-carry acetaminophen and/or ibuprofen, you must complete a form, as it was not part of the online enrollment this year. One form is required for each medication.

The newest addition to our campus - a Little Free Library was installed today by Olivia Hoffman as part of her Eagle Achievement project. Great job and thank you Olivia! You can find the Little Free Library outside of Door 2 (Lecture Hall Doors) on the East side of the MSHS.

As we head into the middle of the summer - Morgan Johnson and Harriet Lohse are doing an instrument drive and fundraiser for all the incoming band students who are in need of instruments. If you have an old instrument laying around or you wish to donate PLEASE DON'T HESITATE! Bring donations and instruments to the school office. We as a community can make this happen, we need your help! Thank you all!

First I want to express my sincerest sympathies for those affected by the historic flood in Windom. Seeing this kind of devastation in our community is very difficult. If you are in need of support, please see the attached document from DVHHS.
Also, remember that there are FREE meals for any student ages 0-18 at the Highland Learning Center and Windom Elementary daily from 11:30-12:30.

There is a Volunteer Flood Cleanup Group that is ready to help residents with cleanup after the flood. If you need assistance, please call Diane at 507-211-0278 or Hilary at 507-822-3849 to get on the list for this group's service.
School Lunches will be served at the Highland Early Learning Center only tomorrow, Wednesday, June 26. The Elementary location will be closed. All students ages 0-18 are welcome to go to Highland for a FREE Meal.
